Rajnish Kumar, PhD, currently serves as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since July 2023. Prior to this role, Rajnish held postdoctoral positions at Virginia Tech, focusing on the design and synthesis of hydrogen sulfide donors for biomedical applications, and at the University of Georgia College of Engineering, developing nitric oxide donors and antimicrobial coatings. Additional experience includes work at the University of Central Florida on nitric oxide donor optimization and medical biomaterials, as well as a research assistant position at CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, where Rajnish contributed to various projects related to thermal insulation coatings and dye-sensitized solar cells. Rajnish earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemical Sciences from CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology and a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry from Patna University.
