Rachel Tinker-Kulberg, PhD, is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in research and development, particularly in the fields of aquaculture, pathogen detection, and molecular biology. Currently serving as Director of Research and Development at Kepley BioSystems Inc since July 2017, Rachel leads innovative projects funded by the National Science Foundation, focusing on developing rapid diagnostic tests for septicemia and sepsis. As a Senior Research Development Scientist at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, research efforts involve CRISPR-based medical diagnostic technologies. Previous roles include founding Floppy Hat Farms and providing scientific writing consultancy for various journals. Rachel's educational background includes a post-doctorate in yeast molecular genetics from the University of California, San Francisco, and a PhD in biochemistry/molecular biology from UC San Diego.
