Shan Suthaharan

Shan Suthaharan is a seasoned academic in the field of computer science, currently serving as a Professor at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where responsibilities include directing undergraduate studies and chairing various committees focused on accreditation. Shan's previous roles include an Adjunct Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and a Visiting Faculty Fellow at Emory University. Notable research contributions involve deep learning, big data analytics, and machine learning. With an extensive teaching career that began as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Jaffna, Shan has held various academic positions across several institutions, including Monash University and Tennessee State University, where administrative roles included department head.
