Katherine Thompson

Katherine Thompson has extensive work experience in web development, digital services, and communications. Starting in 2000, they worked as a Multimedia/TV Producer at Clear Channel Broadcasting until 2006. From 2007 to 2011, they held roles as a Morning Planning Producer and Senior Producer/Special Projects at FOX30/CBS47 Jacksonville. Following that, they worked as an Integrated Communications Manager at Florida State College at Jacksonville from 2011 to 2013. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Grad Student focused on Online Communications & Social Media at the University of Florida. In 2015, they began their tenure at the University of North Florida as an Assistant Director of Web Services, and later became the Director of Web and Digital Services. Additionally, they worked as a Social Media and Branding Consultant for Lifespan Yoga in 2015.

Katherine Thompson holds a Master of Arts degree in Mass Communication with a focus on Web Design and Online Communications from the University of Florida, obtained in 2014. Katherine also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication with a specialization in Media Production from Florida State University. Prior to their tertiary education, Katherine attended Ramstein American High School. Additionally, they attained a certification as a Social Media Professional from the University of Florida in the year 2014.
