Jana Hawley is the current Dean of the College of Merchandising, Hospitality & Tourism at the University of North Texas. Prior to their current position, they served as the Director of the Norton School of Family and Consumer Sciences at the University of Arizona from January 2015 to December 2015.

Jana has been integral in their work towards expanding the potential of families, communities, and the marketplace. Jana is known for their dedication to preparing students with content knowledge, professional growth, leadership development, ethical mindfulness, and productive citizenship skills. Under their guidance and direction, the faculty and staff at Norton School have been able to create a curriculum that is responsive to the needs of the times.

Jana's work in the field of family and consumer sciences has positively impacted many lives. Jana is a well-respected leader in their field and their passion for helping others reach their full potential is evident in all that they do.

Dr. Jana Hawley is a Professor in the Department of Human Environmental Sciences at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Jana earned their Ph.D. in Human Environmental Sciences-Textile and Apparel Management from the University of Missouri-Columbia, their M.S. in Clothing Textiles from Oklahoma State University, and their B.S. in Vocational Education from Fort Hays State University.

Their manager is Neal J. Smatresk, President. They are on a team with Michael McPherson - Vice Provost, Student Success, Jennifer Cowley - Provost & VP for Academic Affairs, and Tamara L.
