John P. Wagle

John P. Wagle currently serves as the Pat & Jana Eilers Senior Associate Athletics Director for Sports Performance at the University of Notre Dame, a position held since August 2022. Previously, John Wagle worked with the Kansas City Royals as the Director of Performance Science and Player Development, where efforts led to six Minor League Baseball championships. Other notable roles include leading sports performance initiatives at East Tennessee State University and DePaul University, contributing to the performance of high-level athletes, including Olympians. With a robust educational background that includes a Ph.D. in Sport Physiology and multiple master's degrees, John Wagle combines extensive experience in sports performance and coaching, including a distinguished athletic career as a two-time All-American in baseball.
