Dr Kat Martindale

Dr. Kat Martindale is an accomplished academic and practitioner in the fields of architecture, urbanism, and research, currently serving as an Associate Lecturer in Research in Practice at the University of Nottingham. Martindale founded and directs Cities Research, overseeing social media strategy and managing a global network of early career academics in various planning and policy disciplines. With extensive freelance experience as a writer and editor for numerous esteemed publications, Martindale also holds consultancy roles and has previously led significant research initiatives at organizations such as the Royal Institute of British Architects and Architecture BVN. An educator at institutions like the London School of Architecture and Toronto Metropolitan University, Martindale's academic credentials include an MLitt from the University of Oxford and a PhD from the University of Sydney, complemented by multiple degrees in architecture and urban design.
