Joel Fischer

Joel Fischer is a Professor of Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Nottingham, where tenure began in February 2008. Fischer's career progressed from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor, engaging in research that spans Human-Computer Interaction and Ubiquitous Computing, with particular emphasis on Design Ethnography and Participatory Design. Significant contributions include co-convening courses focused on understanding user behaviors and conducting a PhD focused on mobile, context-aware interruption management at the Mixed Reality Lab.
