Maimuna Jeng

Maimuna Jeng is a seasoned communications professional currently serving as the Communications and Engagement Manager for the Faculty of Science at the University of Nottingham, where responsibilities include highlighting the impact and research capabilities of various scientific disciplines. Maimuna also acts as an Advisor and Facilitator for FRIDA | The Young Feminist Fund, alongside consulting on strategy and outreach. Previously, Maimuna held the role of Communications Manager at the Africa Research Excellence Fund, focusing on brand enhancement, and facilitated workshops on sexual harassment at SOAS University of London. Past experiences include serving as Communications Officer for the National Audit Office in The Gambia, implementing support programs at the International Republican Institute, and various roles in project support and volunteering. Maimuna holds a Master's degree in Global Media and Communications from SOAS University of London and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of The Gambia, complemented by a certificate in Gender and Development Studies.
