Markella Petropoulou is currently a Senior Research Technician in Solid Dose Vaccine Delivery and Translational Bone Regenerative Medicine at the University of Nottingham since January 2024. Prior to this, Markella worked on an MSc research project at the University of Manchester, focusing on the effects of circadian rhythm disruption in intervertebral discs of mice. Markella gained experience as a Biomedical Science intern at iDNA Genomics and Theracell in June 2022 and served as a Student Mentor at the University of Sheffield from August 2020 to July 2022. Additional roles include Year Representative for the Biomedical Science Society and Camp Leader at TYPET camp, with earlier leadership experience as Vice President of the class committee at The American College of Greece. Markella holds a Master of Science in Tissue Engineering for Regenerative Medicine from the University of Manchester and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Sheffield.
