Paul Kennedy

Paul Kennedy is an experienced IT professional with a strong background in security and compliance. Since February 2003, Paul has held multiple roles at the University of Nottingham, including Enterprise Security Architect, Security Architect, Security & Compliance Group Leader, and Computer and Network Security Officer. Additionally, Paul served as Chair of the RUGIT IT Security Group from April 2010 to December 2022, focusing on IT security for the Russell Group of UK Research Intensive Universities. Earlier in his career, Paul worked as a Systems Consultant at LOOK Systems from 1997 to 2002, a Team Leader at Northrop Grumman Corporation from 1993 to 1996, and a Systems Designer at Grumman Data Systems from 1991 to 1993. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computing and Information Systems from The University of Manchester and a Master of Science (MSc) in Knowledge Based Systems from Heriot-Watt University.
