Paul Russell

Paul Russell has an extensive background in analytics and physics, currently serving as Chairman and Member of the Strategic Advisory Board for the School of Physics & Astronomy at The University of Nottingham since January 2013. Prior to this, Paul Russell had a lengthy career at Experian UK&I, holding various positions culminating in retirement in March 2023, with responsibilities that included overseeing credit risk, fraud, and marketing analytics as well as managing offshore analytics operations in Bulgaria. Paul Russell also spent a significant portion of his career as Director of Analytical Solutions at Experian Decision Analytics, leading credit risk modeling activities across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India. Additional experience includes consulting at CCN and a research assistantship at the University of Nottingham, alongside educational achievements of a PhD in low temperature semiconductor physics and a B.Sc. in Physics from the same institution.
