Ricardo Correia

Ricardo Correia is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of optical fibre sensing and engineering, currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Senior Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham since February 2015. In addition to roles in optical and bioelectronic engineering, Ricardo Correia also holds the position of Director at Medical Photonics since March 2024. Previously, experience includes a Research Fellow at Cranfield University from April 2011 to February 2015, and earlier roles as a Research Assistant and Quality Manager. Educational credentials comprise a Ph.D. in Optics/Optical Sciences from Cranfield University and a Master’s degree in Instrumentation and Industrial Quality Engineering from Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto.
