Simge Aslan

Simge Aslan is a Teaching Associate and PhD Researcher at the University of Nottingham since September 2019, focusing on Distributed Ledger Technologies and their implications on commercial and insolvency laws. Prior to this role, Aslan worked as an Associate at Legal Attorneys & Counselors from November 2016 to September 2019, specializing in Competition Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, and the Law of Contracts. Aslan's legal career began as a Legal Trainee at the same firm from June 2015 to September 2016 and included internships at Girişim Varlık Yönetimi and Fibabanka. Aslan holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree, a Master of Laws in International Commercial Law, and a Bachelor of Laws, all from the University of Nottingham and Özyeğin University, complemented by a secondary education from Deutsche Schule Istanbul.
