Tessa Romano

Tessa Romano is a Tenure-Track Senior Lecturer in Music (Voice) at the University of Otago, where responsibilities include teaching voice majors and minors and overseeing undergraduate and graduate voice programs. In addition to this role, Tessa serves as Co-Vice President and Council Member for the New Zealand Association of Teachers of Singing and is a Board Member and Events Committee Chair for the New York Singing Teachers' Association. As a self-employed voice teacher, Tessa specializes in working with diverse groups, including students with unique vocal needs. Tessa's performance experience includes membership in the VOCES8 USA Scholars and participation in various operatic roles at the Aspen Opera Center. Academic credentials include a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Master of Music from the University of Michigan.
