Claudia Malic

Claudia Malic is an accomplished healthcare professional currently serving as the CQI Director and Vice Chair of Quality and Patient Safety in the Department of Surgery at the University of Ottawa since July 2021. Additionally, Claudia is a Surveyor for Accreditation Canada as of December 2023 and has been a Paediatric Plastic Surgeon and NSQIP Surgeon Champion at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario since July 2014. Claudia has held the position of Associate Professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Ottawa since May 2020, and previously directed the ECO European Cleft Organisation from September 2010 to July 2016. Claudia's extensive training includes fellowships in Total Burn Care and Paediatric Plastic Surgery and a specialty registrar role in plastic surgery. Claudia earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Leeds and a Safety Quality Informatics and Leadership Certificate from Harvard Medical School.
