Frances Ann Smeaton

Frances Ann Smeaton is an experienced web developer and content management specialist currently serving at the University of Ottawa since February 2008, where contributions include founding the Women in IT initiative, now known as Women in Innovation. Previous positions include serving as Secretary for the University of Ottawa IT Professionals (PIPSC) in 2018 and working as a Web Publisher at Natural Resources Canada, focusing on web standards and client requirements. From 1999 to 2007, Frances held the role of Webmaster for Go for Green, promoting outdoor activities and environmental stewardship through various programs. Frances Ann Smeaton earned a BA in Visual Arts and Psychology from the University of Ottawa in 1999, and attended Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology.
