Ricky Landry

Ricky Landry is a seasoned communications professional currently serving as the Chief Communications & Public Affairs Officer at the University of Ottawa since December 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Communications at the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, as well as acting Chief of Staff in the former. Landry has a strong background in media, having worked as Head of Communications for the Canadian Olympic Committee, where notable contributions included revamping communications protocols for Team Canada at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympics. Previous journalism experience spans a decade at CBC/Radio-Canada in various reporting capacities. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in History & Political Science from Université de Moncton, multiple master's degrees, and a certificate from Smith School of Business at Queen's University focused on coaching for high performance.
