Alex Norman is a DPhil Candidate in Interdisciplinary Bioscience at the University of Oxford, focusing on the development of novel neutralising antibodies in Dr. Dalan Bailey's lab. Previous experience includes co-founding Panoplia Laboratories and working as a scientist at Alvea on next-generation vaccines. Alex also interned at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering, contributing to a T-cell engineering project under Prof. George Church, and gained experience at the University of Cambridge and the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology in programming and inflammatory signaling, respectively. Academic background includes a degree in Cell and Systems Biology from the University of Oxford and earlier education at Brighton College.
