Ashley Brutnall

Ashley Brutnall is an accomplished finance professional currently serving as the Director of Financial Reporting at the University of Oxford since August 2025. Prior to this role, Ashley held the position of Head of External Reporting at The Restaurant Group plc, where responsibilities included leading interim and year-end audit processes and managing the year-end reporting cycle. Ashley's experience also encompasses a significant tenure as Group Finance Manager at Ibstock plc, contributing to FTSE 250 Group's reporting and finance communication strategies. Additionally, Ashley worked at EY over an eleven-year period, where roles ranged from coordinating audits for multinational companies to overseeing a major audit review program across Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa. Ashley holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Durham University.
