Gireesh Shrimali

Gireesh Shrimali currently serves as the Head of Transition Finance Research at the University of Oxford, leading research and training in Transition Finance and Risk. Shrimali also fulfills roles as a Visiting Faculty member at Singapore Management University focusing on net-zero transitions, and as an Advisor at the Council on Energy, Environment and Water, providing guidance on clean energy finance in India. Additional advisory positions include work with terrafuse on AI applications in climate risk forecasting and with SUPRABHA on rooftop solar initiatives. Shrimali has held academic positions at several institutions, teaching corporate finance with an emphasis on sustainability and climate risk management. Educational background includes a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, an MS from the University of Minnesota, and a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
