Matt Pickles

Matt Pickles is a seasoned freelance journalist and broadcaster with extensive experience across various media outlets, including BBC News, BBC Radio 4, and The Guardian, since February 2015. Prior to this role, Matt served as Head of Communications at the University of Oxford from June 2010 to September 2019, overseeing communications for the Humanities division and managing media relations around admissions and academic research. Additional experience includes a brief stint as an Associate at Media Tenor International, news reporting for The Sun, and serving as University Manager at High Fliers Research Limited. Matt holds a BA in Modern History and Politics from the University of Oxford and an NCTJ certification in newspaper journalism from Lambeth College.
