Philip Awadalla

Philip Awadalla is a highly accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in molecular genetics and public health. Currently serving as a Professor of Molecular Genetics at the University of Oxford since January 2024, Philip has held prominent positions including National Scientific Director at CanPath since April 2018 and Executive Director of the Ontario Health Study since June 2015. Philip previously served as a Professor at the University of Toronto and as Director of Computational Biology at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research. Philip's academic background includes a PhD in Genetics from The University of Edinburgh and a Master's degree from the University of Toronto.
