Santiago Vazquez is an experienced legal and policy professional, currently serving as a Paralegal at Lambda Legal since April 2022. Previously, Santiago was a Policy Fellow at Foreign Policy for America and completed a Human Rights Fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law. Santiago's career includes a notable tenure as a Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Scholar at the U.S. Department of State, where involvement in Public Diplomacy & Outreach was highlighted by a competitive internship. Santiago's academic background includes a Master of Philosophy from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, where contributions to speech and debate teams and various fellowships fostered leadership and advocacy skills. Additional international experience includes a Global Citizen Year Fellowship in Ecuador and involvement in programs with the Smithsonian Latino Center and California State Senator Ricardo Lara's office.
