Tom Heel

Tom Heel is an experienced sustainability professional with a diverse background in environmental sustainability and project management. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Sustainability at the University of Oxford since July 2025, Tom has held various pivotal roles including Sustainability Lead at Aviva and Business Development Director at Low Carbon Hub. Earlier positions at the University of Oxford included Deputy Head of Environmental Sustainability and Acting Head of Environmental Sustainability. Tom's career in sustainability began at Southern Solar Ltd as Branch Manager and Project Manager, and prior experience includes project management at Ecos Homes. Educational credentials encompass a consulting degree from Passivhaus Institut and a foundational education from the University of East Anglia and Abingdon School.
