Zohar Etzioni

Zohar Etzioni is a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at the Ludwig Cancer Research, University of Oxford, specializing in the integration of somatic mutation and methylation data from cell-free DNA for cancer diagnosis and monitoring using deep learning techniques, a position held since October 2022. Prior experience includes engineering at Vega Protocol, developing a web3 native derivative layer; project supervision for software engineering master's students at the University of Oxford; and over eight years at Morgan Stanley as an Algo Trading Consultant. Zohar co-founded PDX Technology, creating innovative credit enhancement solutions for peer-to-peer lending, and held roles in algorithmic trading at Citi, technical leadership at Cisco Systems post-acquisition of Sheer Networks, and system architecture at Sheer Networks. Furthermore, teaching system programming at the Open University and software engineering at SuperDimension reflects a strong academic and technical background, supported by a PhD in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin and multiple degrees in Philosophy and Computer Science.
