Zsolt Bedo

Zsolt Bedo, PhD, Habil., currently serves as the Deputy Director at Hydrogen Center and as Chair of the Innovation Committee at University of Pécs. With a robust background in entrepreneurship and innovation, Zsolt has held various roles including Director of Innovation and External Relations and Program Leader at the University of Pécs Faculty of Business and Economics since 2017. Zsolt is a co-founder of Openup.education, Simonyi Business and Economic Development Center, and the International Video Pitch Competition, promoting entrepreneurship and innovation on an international scale. Furthermore, Zsolt is a founding member of the Network of Multidisciplinary Ideation and Business Model Generation, dedicated to integrating university-based entrepreneurship ecosystems globally. An Assistant Professor at the University of Pécs since 2011, Zsolt's research focuses on the impact of university-based entrepreneurship ecosystems on regional socio-economic development. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Business Administration and Management and a Habilitation in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies.
