Deb Casarella

Deb Casarella serves as the Associate Chief Information Officer for Entity Services at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System since October 2021. Prior to this role, Deb held various leadership positions at Penn Medicine Princeton Health, including Entity Information Officer, Interim Vice President and Chief Information Officer, and Director of Applications, where significant contributions included managing a team of analysts, facilitating the implementation of PennChart (Epic), and overseeing the migration of applications during the opening of a replacement facility. Previous experience includes management roles in Clinical Applications at CentraState Healthcare System, senior leadership at New Solutions, Inc. & Beacon Health Informatics, and director positions at HIP of New Jersey. Deb holds an MBA from Rutgers Business School and a BS in Health Information Management from Kean University, along with ongoing education in health information management and technology.
