Karen Averill

Karen Averill has extensive experience in the healthcare field, particularly at Penn Medicine within the University of Pennsylvania Health System since January 2006, where Karen holds the position of Manager of Insurance Authorization, in addition to roles as a Home Care Physical Therapist and Epic Clinical Trainer for Home Care and Hospice. In the training role, Karen is responsible for designing training materials, including lesson plans and workflow documents, to support successful implementation processes. Prior to their tenure at Penn Medicine, Karen served as a Physical Therapist at Penn Care at Home from January 2006 until September 2014. Karen Averill holds a Master of Science in Jewish Studies with a focus on Holocaust Studies from Gratz College and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Jefferson Health.
