N. D. Samarawickrama

N. D. Samarawickrama is a council member at the University of Peradeniya. N. has previously worked as a project officer for Handicap International - Humanity & Inclusion and as a program officer for Room to Read. In their role as a project officer, Samarawickrama was responsible for identifying, assessing, and developing the beneficiary data base for the Cash for Work project funded by the World Food Program. N. also designed and implemented project activities and built partnerships from National to Local Level. As a program officer for Room to Read, Samarawickrama was responsible for managing overall programme activities of Girls Education Programme (GEP) of Room to Read Sri Lanka including planning, designing and implementations. N. also provided technical oversight for country office GEP staff and Social Mobilizers (SMs).

N. D. Samarawickrama received a Master's degree in Regional Development and Planning from the University of Colombo and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka.
