Angela Burrows is an accomplished strategic communications expert with extensive experience in higher education and nonprofit sectors. Currently serving as Associate Vice Chancellor of Strategic Communications for Health Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh, Angela oversees marketing and communications strategies for the university's six schools. Previously, Angela founded a marketing communications consultancy and held several leadership roles including AVP and Chief Marketing Officer at Pennsylvania Western University, where Angela led the inaugural marketing efforts following a university integration. Angela's earlier positions included Vice President of Brand Strategy and Marketing at Edinboro University, Chief Communications Officer at Susquehanna University, and various strategic roles at other institutions such as California University of Pennsylvania and Point Park University. Angela holds a Certificate in Crisis Leadership from Harvard University, a Master of Public Management with highest distinction from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor of Science magna cum laude in English and Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.
