Chandralekha Singh is a Distinguished Professor of Physics and the Director of the Discipline-based Science Education Research Center (dB-SERC) at the University of Pittsburgh, holding this position since July 1995 and serving as Director since January 1, 2014. Previously, Singh worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from July 1993 to June 1995. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Physics from UC Santa Barbara (1988-1993) and a BSc/MSc in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (1983-1988).
