Gene Anderson currently serves as the Dean of the College of Business Administration and Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh, a position held since July 2022. Previously, Gene held the role of Dean at Syracuse University's Martin J. Whitman School of Management from 2017 to 2022 and at the University of Miami Business School from 2011 to 2016. Gene's extensive experience at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business spanned over two decades, where Gene held various titles, including Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and D. Maynard Phelps Professor of Business Administration. Gene earned a PhD in Business from the University of Chicago and holds both an MBA and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Education was preceded by attendance at the American Community School at Knightsbridge from 1972 to 1976.
