Jess Lauffer

Jess Lauffer is a Library Impact Communicator at the University of Pittsburgh, a position held since July 2024. Previously, Jess served as a Content Marketer and Technical Editor for Episode Six from November 2021 to January 2024. Between March 2019 and November 2021, Jess worked as a Website Content Coordinator for Texas Health and Human Services, where responsibilities included reviewing plain language content, managing workflow, and collaborating with various teams. Additional experience includes roles as Team Lead, Editor, and Writer at StudySync, Proofreader at Geotext Translations, English Language Arts Tutor at NY City College Of Technology, English Teacher at the Research Foundation of The City University of New York, and Associate Media Editor at Macmillan Learning. Jess holds an MFA in Poetry from The New School and a BA in English with a Creative Writing track from Allegheny College.
