Rachel Decker Richelieu

Vice Chancellor for Communications & Marketing at University of Pittsburgh

Rachel Decker Richelieu currently serves as the Vice Chancellor for University Communications and Marketing at the University of Pittsburgh, having assumed the role in May 2023. Prior to this position, Rachel held the title of Director of Strategic Communications at MITRE from 2018 to May 2023, where significant transformations were made in corporate communications and marketing. Rachel's extensive experience includes leadership roles at Strayer Education, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, BAE Systems, Pratt & Whitney, and various positions within the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of State, where responsibilities encompassed media relations, public affairs, and strategic communication initiatives. Rachel earned a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Social Anthropology from George Mason University, along with further educational pursuits in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Oxford.
