Ty Walters

Ty Walters is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in the athletic sector, currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at the University of Pittsburgh since November 2022. Previously, Ty worked at the Phoenix Suns from October 2019 to November 2022, progressing from Business Intelligence Analyst to Data Scientist. Ty's career began as a Junior Data Analyst at Chicago Fire FC in 2019 and included a role as a Soccer Behavioral Analyst at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Business Data Analytics from Arizona State University and a Master of Science in Analytics from the Georgia Institute of Technology, alongside a Bachelor of Science from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management.
