Roderick Mills currently serves as an External Examiner for MA Communication Design at the University of Plymouth and has been a Course Leader for BA(Hons) Illustration at the University of Brighton since 2001. At the University of Brighton, Roderick also holds roles as a PhD Supervisor, PhD Examiner, External Examiner, Admissions Tutor, and Research Mentor. Additional experience includes acting as Year Coordinator for level 6 Illustration for nine years and briefly serving as Interim Course Leader for BA(Hons) Animation. Roderick is an External Examiner at Ulster University and has participated in various committees and panels, such as the Scientific Committee for the CONFIA International Conference and the Peer Review Panel for the Journal of Illustration. Roderick co-founded the Mokita Illustration Forum to foster dialogue on the subject of Illustration and has served as an invited jury member for the Creative Conscience Awards and an Illustration Advisor for the Art Fund. Roderick holds an MA from the Royal College of Art and a BA(Hons) from Kingston University, with additional qualifications in Graphic Design from Salford College of Technology.
