Currently, Natalie serves as the Head of Student Development at UPSU, where they manage strategic initiatives, oversees staff teams, and leads on various aspects such as international students strategy, freedom of speech responsibilities, and health and safety.

Natalie Dutka-Bowskill's education history begins in 2007 when they attended the University of Portsmouth and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature. Natalie then pursued further education at the same institution and received a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Francophone Africa in 2012.

In 2018, they obtained multiple certifications including FAA Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation (RQF), FAA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF), FAQ Level 3 Award in Education and Training, FAQ Level 3 Award in Oxygen Therapy Administration, FAQ Level 3 Award in the Immediate Management of Anaphylaxis, First Aid Assessors and Internal Quality Assurance CPD Training, First Aid at Work Instructor/Assessor, Immediate Management of Anaphylaxis Instructor, and Oxygen Therapy Administration Instructor. Natalie also obtained the certification of Defibrillation Instructor from Firat Aid Awards Ltd.

Most recently, in March 2021, Natalie obtained a certification in Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn. Additionally, they are currently in progress of completing the Nebosh National Diploma at Phoenix, though specific completion dates are not provided.

Portsmouth Students’ Union has a vision of creating a positive impact with every Portsmouth student during their time at University. As a charity led by our values and guided by our students, we do this by providing wide-ranging services and learner support to the 20,000 students of the University of Portsmouth.   Create change for a better University. Anyone can get involved in the Student Council and run in our Elections for one of many leadership roles.    As well as gaining valuable experience through our representation opportunities, students can also volunteer for one of our many volunteering groups such as VIP or SU Heroes. It's a great way to meet new people whilst giving back to the community.   Our extensive Activities programme has over 100 sports clubs and societies. We also run one-off trips and events through our Give it a Go programme.
