Andrew Burbanks is an established academic with extensive experience in applied mathematics. Serving as an Associate Professor (Reader) at the University of Portsmouth since 2005, Burbanks also holds the position of Associate Head for Research and Innovation within the School of Mathematics and Physics. Previous roles include Principal Lecturer and Departmental Research Coordinator, as well as Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol from 2001 to 2005. Burbanks' career began with a postdoctoral position at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories, followed by a postdoctoral research associate role at the University of Cambridge. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Mathematics and a BSc in Mathematics and Computation, both earned from Loughborough University.
