Azad Camyab is an experienced professional in sustainability and energy management, currently serving as a Fellow at the University of Cambridge since October 2011, with a focus on the Masters in Sustainability Leadership and the Laing O'Rourke Centre for Construction Management. As the Founder of Pearlstone, established in 2016, Azad has developed a Demand Response Aggregator that provides large UK businesses with new revenue streams through energy management solutions. Azad also holds the position of Visiting Senior Teaching Fellow at the University of Portsmouth since 2005 and has been a member of the Executive Advisory Board for Enlit Europe since June 2012. Previous roles include Director of Greener Energy at KEMA, General Manager at Energy Developments (UK) Limited, Senior Advisor at Mitsubishi Corporation, Business Development Director at Aquila Energy Europe, Projects Director at Sithe Energies, and Project and Business Development Manager at National Power / International Power. Azad holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Imperial College London and an MBA in Strategy and Finance from Bristol Business School.
