Branislav Hock is an Associate Professor in Economic Crime & Compliance at the University of Portsmouth, with a career spanning various roles in academia and research. Teaching focuses on International Fraud and Corruption, Research Methods, Foundations of Economic Crime, and AML and Compliance. Hock serves as Editor In Chief for the Czech and Slovak editions of Risk & Compliance Platform Europe and is the founder of the European Compliance Center. Previous experience includes a role as Leading National Expert on VAT fraud for the European Anti-Fraud Office and membership in the Czech Anti-Corruption Coordination Council. Hock has held visiting fellowships and editorial positions, complemented by extensive research on anti-bribery laws and economic crime. Hock's academic qualifications include a PhD in Law and Economics and an LLM from Tilburg University, as well as a Master of Laws from Charles University.
