Isabel Smith

Isabel Smith is a dedicated PhD student at the University of Reading, focusing on atmospheric turbulence and high-resolution climate models since September 2020. Additionally, Isabel serves as a Student Ambassador for the Royal Meteorological Society, promoting engagement in meteorology. Previous experience includes a role as a Student Forecaster at MeteoGroup, delivering weather reports for newspapers, and an internship at weathertrending, where social media content was created to enhance public interest. Early roles included shadowing at Weatherquest Ltd to understand weather services, serving as a course representative at the University of Reading to improve communication between students and faculty, and working as a receptionist at Bryden Medical Limited, honing customer service skills. Isabel holds a Master’s degree in Meteorology from the University of Reading, where studies were completed from 2016 to 2020.
