Jed Schwendiman

VP, Advancement at University of Redlands

Jed Schwendiman joined the University of Redlands in May of 2023 as the Vice President of Advancement serving as the University’s chief development officer responsible for developing a comprehensive and integrated fundraising and alumni engagement program.

Jed will also serve as a key partner as the University embarks on its collaborative strategic plan, Forward Together, engaging alumni and securing philanthropic support for the University.

Jed joins Redlands from the University of California, Riverside, where he served as the Assistant Dean for Development at the Marlan and Rosemary Bourns College of Engineering. His broad experience in higher education enabled him to develop innovative fundraising programs that significantly increased donor pipelines and philanthropic support. As a fundraiser, his regional portfolios included New York, Washington D.C., California, Texas, and New England. He has also worked internationally throughout China and Taiwan.

Prior to UCR, he served as Interim Director of Development at Dedman College within Southern Methodist University and Associate Director of Leadership Annual Giving for the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.

Jed holds a M.A. in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire, Durham. He received his B.A. in Psychology from Whitman College in Walla Walla Washington.
