Karlon N. Rama

Karlon N. Rama, MMS, CSP, has extensive experience in journalism and education, currently serving as an Assistant Instructor at the University of San Carlos since June 2015, focusing on various aspects of communication and journalism. Simultaneously, Karlon has been a Qualified Trainer for the Peace and Conflict Journalism Network (PECOJON) since September 2007, facilitating training across Southeast Asia and leading initiatives in Conflict-Sensitive Journalism. Previous roles include Executive Director/National Coordinator for PECOJON in the Philippines, Acting Deputy Director at the Cebu Citizens-Press Council, and various positions at educational institutions, including the University of San Jose-Recoletos. Karlon's journalism career began as a Staff Reporter at Sun.Star Cebu, complemented by a solid educational background that includes ongoing doctoral studies in law and degrees in media studies, mass communication, and psychology.
