Donovan Alcones

Donovan Alcones is a graduate associate at San Diego State University, with responsibilities including grading assignments and guiding students, as well as managing the class's Canva page. As an instrumental music teacher at St. Michael's School in Poway, Donovan conducts the Concert Band and develops a focused music education curriculum, while also organizing various performances. Donovan also serves as the director of athletic bands at the University of San Diego, leading the Pep Band at basketball games and coordinating communications. In addition, Donovan has experience as an instrumental music coach at Cathedral Catholic High School, working primarily with low brass musicians, and has held roles as a patient service representative at SHARP REES-STEALY Medical Group and a college fellow at Bayside Community Center. Currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Critical Studies in Music at San Diego State University, Donovan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Composition from the University of San Diego.
