Dr. Arthur A. Cummins holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Azusa Pacific University. Currently serving as the Manager of Emergency Preparedness at the University of San Diego since October 2022, Dr. Cummins provides comprehensive emergency management services to ensure the safety and security of the campus community. With over two decades of experience with the Joyful Child Foundation, including roles as Board member and Past President, Dr. Cummins has a strong commitment to community service. Previous roles in education include Coordinator of Prevention and Intervention at Irvine Unified School District and Director of Student Services at Garden Grove Unified School District, where Dr. Cummins implemented various support systems aimed at enhancing student well-being. Additionally, experience with the Orange County Department of Education involved leadership in multiple areas such as violence prevention, mental health services, and emergency management.
