Elizabeth Garcia joined the University in 2018 as the Executive Director for the Office of Equity and Diversity and Title IX Coordinator. In 2020, she was named Special Assistant to the President and appointed to the President’s Cabinet.
Prior to joining the University, Ms. Garcia was a shareholder at the Parker McCay, P.A. law firm in southern New Jersey, where she worked for over 18 years. Her practice heavily centered on labor, employment, civil rights, local government and education law. She also held judicial law clerk positions in State and Federal Court. Her leadership roles included, but were not limited to, President of the Burlington County Bar Association, Vice Chair of the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce, and President of the Burlington County Bar Foundation.
Ms. Garcia earned her B.A. in International Relations and Hispanic Studies from Wheaton College in Massachusetts in 1997 and her J.D. from the James E. Beasley School of Law at Temple University in 2000.
