Patricia L. Tetreault

VP for Human Resources at University of Scranton

Patricia L. Tetreault, SHRM-SCP, SPHR was appointed to the position of Vice President for Human Resources in July 2018. She joined the University in 2009, first as the Director of Compensation and Benefits and was promoted to Assistant Vice President for Human Resources in 2011, and Associate Vice President for Human Resources in 2014. Patricia served as Interim Vice President for Human Resources for the period September 2013 – June 2014. She earned an Associate Degree in Health Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies and a Master Degree in Business Administration, all from The University of Scranton. She holds the national SHRM-SCP and SPHR Human Resources certifications and has more than 25 years of Human Resources/Employee Benefits experience in a variety of industries. 

Patricia serves on various University committees, including the President’s Cabinet, Faculty Personnel Committee, the Information Security and Advisory Council and is the Cabinet liaison to the Staff Senate. Patricia formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Northeast Pennsylvania Society for Human Resources (NEPA SHRM) and currently serves as President of the St. Joseph’s Center Board of Directors. She has completed the AJCU Jesuit Leadership Seminar and the Ignatian Colleagues Program (ICP). Through ICP, Patricia participated in an Immersion experience at the Kino Border in Nogales Arizona/Mexico.

In her current role as Vice President for Human Resources, she is responsible for the Office of Equity and Diversity and all components of Human Resources operations including employment, performance management, training, compensation and employee benefits.
