Christopher Deneen

Christopher Deneen is an academic leader with extensive experience in higher education, currently serving as an Associate Professor and Enterprise Fellow in Education Futures at the University of South Australia since November 2021. Deneen also holds the title of Principal Fellow (hon) and Senior Lecturer in Higher Education Curriculum & Assessment at the University of Melbourne since April 2019. Prior roles include Senior Lecturer at RMIT University and an Honorary Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong, with a focus on researching assessment in higher education and teaching courses in teacher education. Deneen's experience extends to Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, where instruction and leadership in educational change were emphasized, and previous academic positions included the Hong Kong Institute of Education and Touro College. Education credentials include a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Teachers College, Columbia University, and advanced degrees in Education and History from Indiana University Bloomington and Trinity University, respectively.
