Cassidy Spencer

Cassidy Spencer is a dedicated web content writer and copywriter currently employed at the University of South Carolina since January 2023. Previously, Cassidy contributed to Garnet & Black Magazine from September 2016 to May 2020 in various roles including staff writer, copy chief, and contributing writer, focusing on student life and local culture. Cassidy also served as a publicist for Green Room Productions, managing social media and community outreach from August 2017 to September 2019, and gained valuable experience as an operations intern for Indie Grits Labs in early 2019. Additional roles include summer camp counselor positions with Green River Preserve and the Girl Scouts of Northern California, and membership in CISV International's Jacksonville chapter from 2015 to 2016. Cassidy holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of South Carolina, having also studied at Griffith College Dublin in 2018.
